Okada Manila warns against online casino with his name

The Okada Manila Casino Resort (pictured) in the Philippine capital has issued a warning warning unauthorized persons who operate an “online casino” using the property’s name.

“It appears that certain individuals and groups are promoting an online casino that claims to be operated by Okada Manila,” the resort promoter said in a statement earlier this month.

“Please note that such claims are false. Okada Manila does not currently operate an online gaming facility or service, ”he added.

Okada Manila is owned by a unit of the Japanese Universal Entertainment Corp. Applied.

The statement also stated that any online gaming or promotional material that used the name “Okada Manila” but was not from Okada Manila’s official online media platforms was “falsified” and in no way affiliated with it Okada Manila connected “was gone”.

It added, “We urge the public not to patronize these unauthorized online gambling operations which are illegal and punishable by law under the law.”

The venue organizer also said that using Okada Manila’s name, trademark, and trademarks to trade without their consent is “a violation of the law.”

It added that it could take legal action against those who breach its corporate identity and exploit the use of its trademarks without permission.

In December, the Philippine casino regulator confirmed that three of the Entertainment City gaming resorts in Manila were among them Venues approved to offer online games to domestic players on their premises with a new PIGO (Philippine Inland Gaming Operator) license.

They were: Okada Manila; Solaire Resort and Casino operated by Bloomberry Resorts Corp; and City of Dreams Manila, operated by a unit of the Asian operator Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd.

PIGO licenses apply to online gaming services for a domestic market and not to the so-called POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator) permits for services aimed at players overseas.
