According to a Bojoko manager, the US is well on the way to becoming the “largest regulated online gambling market in the world,” increasing the need to acquire licenses in the country.
The online casino comparison site, which launched in the UK in 2017, entered the US market last month after securing a license from the Gaming Enforcement (DGE) division in New Jersey, launching it in the US.
With launch, players in the Golden State can use Bojoko to search for online game sites that suit their preferences.
The subsidiary’s chief business officer, Joonas Karhu, believes the US is the biggest opportunity in the industry and is confident that Bojoko’s model will work as well in the country as it does in the UK.
Speaking to gambling insider Karhu, he said: “We believe that the US will become the largest regulated online gambling market in the world, so the chance on the table is as big as it gets. The more states see the benefit of regulated online gambling, the more states will legalize the activity.
“This will undoubtedly take several years, but the momentum is now well behind that of regulated online gambling in the US. We are thrilled that we have run our debts in New Jersey and more states will follow as we work through the licensing process.
“Given the growth we’ve seen in the UK market with operators, suppliers and, most importantly, players, we believe our model will work just as well in the US market. Our ultimate goal is to help players find gambling sites quickly and easily, no matter what market they are in.
“We’ll be taking the same approach with the US edition of Bojoko to ensure players are protected at all times and are always playing safely and responsibly.”
